about the acupuncturist

Kelly received her Bachelors degree from Oberlin College and her Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Tristate College of Acupuncture in New York City. Kelly has spent hundreds of hours in study with Kiiko Matsumoto, a world-renowned Japanese acupuncture master, as well as Dr. Mark Seem, Sharon Zhao and Lori Dechar and is also experienced in Pediatric Acupuncture, Chinese Dietary Theory, cupping, and Gua Sha (coining). She practices an eclectic style of acupuncture based on Matsumoto's unique fusion of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Japanese Acupuncture, and the discoveries of Japanese Masters Nagano and Kawai. She also incorporates trigger point release and TCM into her treatments when indicated.  She is a general practitioner, but has logged the most hours treating athletes (especially professional dancers), opera singers, and women with fertility issues.
Kelly is a certified acupuncturist under the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, is certified in Clean Needle Technique from the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is licensed in New York State and Minnesota.
